Pure Rose Extract

You will love the flavor and aroma of Silver Cloud's Pure Rose Extract and enjoy baking and cooking with it. This is a pure extract, which contains alcohol, water and only the finest 100% pure Oil Rose (Rosa damascena) imported from Bulgaria. It should not be confused with the "rose flavoring" sold by most companies.

Silver Cloud's Pure Rose Extract is very potent and should always be used sparingly in food. Approximately 10,000 flowers are used to make 1 pound of the rose oil used in this extract. Try adding a few drops to tea, sauces, dressings and sorbet. Our Pure Rose Extract, like our Pure Lavender Extract and other floral extracts, can be used to enhance the fragrance of potpourri, sachets and floral bouquets. While our Pure Rose Extract was developed for culinary purposes, it has a beautiful aroma and some customers use it as a perfume.

Mysterious Fruity Gelatin Dessert – submitted by Carol Washburn

Serves 16

     * 1 box sugar free Blackberry Jell-O
     * 1 box sugar free Raspberry Jell-O
     * 1 box sugar free Strawberry Jell-O
     * 4 pkgs. unflavored gelatin
     * 4 C. boiling water
     * 8 C. cold water
     * 2 ½ C. sugar free cranberry juice
     * 1 33 oz. jar unsweetened apple sauce
     * 1 12 oz. can Diet 7-Up
     * ¼ tsp. Silver Cloud Pure Rose Extract
     * ½ tsp. Silver Cloud Pure Key Lime Extract
     * ½ tsp. Silver Cloud Pure Lemon Extract

Dissolve gelatins in boiling water. Whisk in remaining ingredients in order listed. The extracts are powerful so you may want to adjust quantities according to taste. Chill until set.

Optional: Top with sugar free whipped topping made with Silver Cloud’s Pure Vanilla Extract and Pure Almond Extract.

Whole Vanilla Beans

Silver Cloud offers the finest cured Vanilla Beans, which can be purchased in glass tubes containing three beans or 8 ounce and 17 ounce vacuum sealed pouches.  There are approximately 40 beans in an 8 ounce pouch.  Since our beans are sold by weight, depending on the size of the beans, the number in a pouch will vary.
