Sambar Powder
Sambar Powder is a Indian seasoning used to flavor stewed vegetables and sauces. The lentils in the blend give it a nutty flavor and serve as a thickening agent. To make our Sambar Powder we pan roast the whole spices and lentils and grind them to a coarse powder.
Silver Cloud's Sambar Powder contains lentils, coriander seed, red pepper, fenugreek seed, curry leaf and other spices. Regional variations may include versions with mustard seed, cumin, black pepper and cinnamon.
